Creating a contemporary luxury hotel brand for modern Naples
Hospitality in Italy often looks to the past. From historic villas and family-owned palazzos to brands built around regional heritage, much of the sector relies on tradition as its primary differentiator.
While these stories remain powerful, they have also become familiar. Luxury hotels increasingly share the same visual language, the same references and the same promises of authenticity.
Hotel Gradet was created with a different ambition. Located in Naples, the hotel sought to offer a contemporary luxury experience that felt rooted in place without relying on nostalgia. The challenge was to create a brand capable of standing apart in a category defined by heritage while still feeling unmistakably Italian.
